Christopher Columbus longed to go to sea. he thought about it all day and dreamed of it all night. Living near the the busy port of Genoa, in Italy, he loved watching ships arrive from far away places, packed with precious silks and spices.He would gaze at the busy, shouting merchants, the sailors and sea captains with a determined look on his face. One day, he'd be among them.
